Procedure Steps

Abdominoplasty is performed under general anesthesia and lasts from 1.5 to 4 hours depending on the extent of the intervention. The surgeon makes incisions in the lower abdomen, removes excess skin and fat, restores muscle positioning, and, if necessary, repositions the navel. Sutures and drainage tubes are then placed.

Postoperative Period and Rehabilitation

The patient stays in the hospital for 1–3 days. During the first week, wearing compression garments and limiting physical activity is recommended. Full recovery takes 4–6 weeks. Results become visible after 1–2 months, and the scar gradually fades and becomes less noticeable.
